Olaia breathes green life into cities

How the symbiosis of nature and technology is massively accelerating the urban landscape planning of the future

At a time when urban sealing and climate change are increasingly threatening our living spaces, Olaia comes to life. She is an AI-based virtual assistant that progressively supports urban planners. It is based on the idea that, as a personified helper from nature, she wisely supports people in communicating between worlds - i.e. between ideas, plans, questions and intelligent software. Just as the goddess Gaia, the personified earth in Greek mythology, is born out of chaos, Olaia now acts as a guide to an innovative future that creates liveable outdoor spaces in the urban environment for people and animals. The name Olaia also has its etymological origins in Greek and means "the eloquent one", which could not be more fitting for a mediator in a chatbot. She is named after "the beech", a highly symbolic tree that stands for strength, resilience and longevity.

Olaia, fed with comprehensive knowledge from nature and technology, is increasingly unfolding its full potential as users, urban planning professionals who deal with urban outdoor spaces, get in touch with it and let Olaia personally and competently support and accompany them in their innovative projects.

She is the heart of the OpenTerra universe. She is where all the threads come together. Olaia is the personal assistant who acts as a link between the users and ChatILP, OpenTerra's digital planning tool and intelligent landscape planner.

Olaia breathes green life into cities

An AI-based landscape planner

Intuitive & productive

ChatILP is as intuitive to use as a gardener using a shovel. Information and plans fed into the system can communicate directly with users and Olaia.

Analysis & Information

This intuitive exchange with an AI sparring partner makes it possible to incorporate important analyses and information right from the start of a project and thus make well-founded, sustainable decisions for each project.

Nature & Technology

The focus here is on an intrinsic symbiosis between the city and nature, which can no longer be regarded as separate entities from the perspective of sustainable living.

OpenTerra emerges from this need as a platform and offers space for knowledge transfer, planning and exchange among experts. The core is Olaia, which stands for the deeply rooted, essential connection and mutual interaction between people, urban spaces and the natural environment.

The Gaia theory

Back in the 1970s, scientist and inventor James Lovelock and biologist Lynn Margulis developed the "Gaia Theory", in which they put forward the theory that life on the planet merges with the Earth over the course of its history. Environment and life are inextricably interwoven and Lovelock and Margulis gave this principle the name "Gaia". It therefore stands for the interaction of biosystems and their environments. The conclusion is sober: every ecosystem can only survive if the interdependencies are respected. That which sustains life continues to exist. We are dependent on the nature of the earth in order to survive as a species. Humanity now has it in its hands to preserve itself in harmony with Gaia.

An innovative research company

And this is where OpenTerra comes in as a research company made up of a diverse team of experts in nature and technology, as well as advanced AI. The platform can be used innovatively as a useful corrective against a standstill or regression in urban construction. Through a more holistic point of view and the use of the most innovative AI technology, a movement of transformation is initiated. OpenTerra sees itself as a service provider and platform for a cross-industry network. The community of experts thrives on the transfer of knowledge and the use of the new software, the intelligent landscape planner ChatILP.

Respect for Terra for a future worth living

Whether we like it or not, we humans are part of nature. We owe our existence to it. OpenTerra starts there to bring the connection between nature and technology into everyday urban planning as a thought leader.
OpenTerra therefore welcomes all people who want to implement construction projects in urban areas with respect for our terra. Ultimately, it is about making our cities more liveable and resilient and conserving resources and CO2. For our liveable future in green, breathing cities.
